Let's try koji cooking! Making koji pastes with salt or soy sauce

Yamato Soysauce & Miso, a 100years old soy sauce-miso-amazake-japanese seasonings artisan producer.
Booking required
Make and bring back home your own 500-600g (approximately) of salt koji or soy sauce koji. Includes 2-3 dishes tasting (we hand out the recipes).
We accept bookings between 10-20 participants.
Fee: 1600yen per participant (including tax)
Time span: approximately 45 minutes

We teach you about the ingredients, making process, and give some tips about koji cooking and storage.

Change up your salt and soy sauce for salt-koji and soy-sauce-koji!
We prepare 2-3 side dishes with salt koji or soy sauce koji seasonings, so you can try to make them again at home with our recipes!

Bring back your own supply

You will make a big batch of 500g-600g of Koji seasoning.
Bring it back home and try our recipes!
Try mixing it into your favorite recipes to replace salt and soy sauce!

Details Join a guided tour of the Kouji Park. Enter our “Koji storehouse”, learn about the history of Yamato Soysauce & Miso, and the making of soy sauce and miso. After that, let’s enjoy a Koji hand bath! Finally, we take you on a stroll through our Kouji Park!
Visiting the Place By bus from Nakabashi bus stop, bus 61 and bus 63. Get off at terminus stop (Oono or Oono minato).
